Come May 2014, the owner of the first Mulder 94 Voyager should be taking delivery and enjoying his first cruising season aboard in the Med.
The 93’10” (28.65-meter) Mulder 94 Voyager is a fully custom, all-aluminum megayacht that is also an all-Dutch project. Naval architecture is by Vripack, while interior design is by Omega Architects. The hull of the 22’6” (6.9 meters) beam yacht arrived at Mulder’s facility a few days ago, and construction on the superstructure is just beginning on site.
Bearing a blend of sporty looks, sharp angles, and some curves, the Mulder 94 Voyager will have excellent headroom inside: 7’2” (2.2 meters). That should make the master, two guest staterooms, and VIP feel quite accommodating indeed, whether passengers are aboard for short trips or the long voyages for which the megayacht is being engineered (and which her name certainly gives a hint). Mulder is anticipating a 3,600-nautical-mile range at 10 knots, under twin 1,150-hp Caterpillar power. Cruise speed should be 15 knots, with top end at 20 knots.
Still on the subject of long voyages, the megayacht will have three (yes, three) refrigerators in the main-deck galley, and a handy workshop in the crew area (to house two to four hands, depending on the needs at the time).
Also of note: The flying bridge, partly shaded by a hardtop, will cater to large parties, up to 18 people for dining, due to flexible seating arrangements. That should keep the grill up here plenty busy.
The Mulder 94 Voyager will be built to RINA classification.
