A 186-footer (57-meter) is in the early stages of construction at Heesen Yachts. The shipyard celebrated the keel laying this month for Project Evita, the latest in a new series.
In fact, Project Evita is the second hull in Heesen’s 57m Aluminum FDHF series. Hull number one is the yacht Santosha, whose owners took delivery just a few months ago. The series’ lightweight aluminum construction supports a focus on good performance. Specifically, the hull design should permit a maximum speed of 22 knots at half load. “FDHF” is the fast-displacement hull form that Heesen uses for many projects. Additionally, the series prioritizes shallow draft, unusual for megayachts of this LOA. However, it’s pretty appealing to Americans, who the shipyard counts among its clients.

With an interior volume of 780 gross tons, the Heesen Project Evita has a plumb bow, lending more waterline length. Fully aft, meanwhile, the straight lines turn to curves. In between, and from sundeck to lower deck, the emphasis is on leisure spaces for families and friends to enjoy. A pool, for example, occupies the main aft deck. It’s ideally situated for taking in 180-degree views, too. Just below, meanwhile, the shipyard plans to add a lazarette to hold watertoys, perhaps even dive gear. Since construction is at an early stage and on spec, buyers can request a variety of custom touches.
That includes arranging up to six staterooms for 12 guests the way they wish. Heesen has turned to the studio Harrison Eidsgaard to create a suggested layout, with a main-deck master and five guest staterooms below decks. Conveniently, the shipyard and design team additionally are incorporating an elevator that rises through the center of the yacht.

Delivery can take place in time for the summer of 2027, even with a fully personalized arrangement and décor.
