Dretttmann Yachts has two refits underway this winter, one of which marks the German yard’s largest to date. The length of that megayacht may surprise you, considering projects going on in other area shipyards: just 98 feet (30 meters).
To be fair, “just” is an undue qualifier. Drettmann Yachts focuses on the smaller end of the megayacht scale, up to 121 feet (37 meters). It’s a good niche, given that the major megayacht shipyards in northern Europe prefer far larger projects.
The 98-footer (top) hat arrived at Drettmann Yachts is a Bandido 90. Bandido was a series of expedition yachts built by both Horizon Yachts and Jade Yachts, widely marketed by Drettmann Yachts for sale as well.
Regardless, the Bandido 90, bearing a 25’3” (7.7-meter) beam, is joined by a Bandido 75 (above) for refit work at Drettmann Yachts. The Bandido 75 measures 78’7” (24 meters) LOA and has a beam of 21’7” (6.6 meters). The latter yacht belongs to Ralf Schumacher, the famed racecar driver.
