Dörries Yachts, the yacht-building arm of Dörries Maritime Services, is fulfilling its focus on the 164- to 230-foot (50- to 70-meter) megayacht market with its newest proposal. She’s 213 feet (65 meters), from the drawing boards of H2 Yacht Design. H2 Yacht Design is responsible for both exterior design and interior design.
As we’ve explained in recent stories, Dörries Yachts is particularly interested in attracting American yacht buyers as well as clients closer to its native northern Germany. It recently acquired a shipyard for this purpose. The family-run company also has strong roots in yacht engineering and yacht management. Due to Dörries Maritime Services being involved in the 269-foot (82-meter) megayacht Graceful, designed by H2 Yacht Design, Dörries Yachts decided to tap the design firm for its first new-construction proposals. In fact, H2 Yacht Design has already created 158- and 190-foot (48- and 58-meter) design proposals at the request of Dörries Yachts.
Like those, the 213-footer shown here was created around a fully detailed engineering platform. From engines to other technical systems, everything has been selected by Dörries Yachts based on its team’s experience with new builds elsewhere, including Graceful. Dörries Yachts and H2 Yacht Design also have two different general arrangements and decor packages from which to choose. Naturally, they will customize items to your liking.
Among the features that should hold great appeal are the fixed balconies off the master suite and skylounge. There are also what Dörries Yachts and H2 Yacht Design call the “spa lounge” (above), joining a handful of other interior saloons and relaxation areas (below).
Dörries Yachts will provide full details about the engineering package, anticipated performance, and other details upon request.
