Since warm, sandy beaches are quite welcoming, why not infuse a superyacht with the same essence? This is what designer Mark Berryman did with the Admiral yacht Jas. As you’re about to see, tones ranging from warm white to sand flow throughout the five decks, enveloping guests in a comfortably chic atmosphere.
Admiral Yachts launched Jas in September, just prior to to the 220-footer (67-meter) debuting at the Monaco Yacht Show. There, visitors got to experience what the owner envisioned in working with Berryman. “The original brief was to evoke the same sensation as M/Y Life Saga,” Berryman says. That particular yacht, from 2019, just so happens to be an Admiral-Berryman project, too. Life Saga is immediately recognizable thanks to large central swaths of glass to each side. Similarly, the Admiral yacht Jas has this virtually barrierless way to create an indoor-outdoor feel.
In fact, that very concept dictated how all of the decks flow. Berryman says there’s “a seamless transition that allows guests onboard to enjoy even more spacious spaces in perfect synergy between inside and outside.” Specifically, glass bulkheads out on deck make it feel as if you can reach out and touch the horizon. A dining area rimmed in glass walls can become an alfresco space by sliding the panels open and tucking them away. Other transformable areas are aboard, too, for enhancing versatility—and relaxation, of course.
To create the comfortably chic atmosphere, Berryman and Celi 1920, The Italian Sea Group’s cabinetry department, combine naturally warm woods and paler accents. Additionally, warm-hued fabrics and aged leathers that look like they have stories to share come together in the lower-deck suites in a soothing way. Still soothing, but a bit posher due to its positioning, is the master suite. The Italian Sea Group describes it as having “a penthouse atmosphere,” featuring a wall of glass to look out over a raised terrace.
Enjoy this armchair tour of Jas, noting as well her deeply sculpted profile. Though sharp lines line these convey an overt strength, and even manliness, the megayacht does not forego architectural elegance.

It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. The bedrooms and sitting area are amazing and large. If I could just be lucky enough to go into something like that, would be like a fairytale.
