Two of Compass Tenders’ largest limo tenders to date have joined their mothership, the Lürssen yacht Blue. They’re for speedy, stylish, and comfortable shore-to-anchorage trips for the owner and guests.
Each of the tenders measures 41 feet (12.5 meters) in length. While that’s certainly sizable, consider that Blue, which saw delivery last July, is 525 feet (160 meters) in length herself. The tenders are custom, of course, in keeping with Compass Tenders’ specialty. However, they do share features commonly characterizing limo tenders. For instance, they’re sleek in looks and in height, the latter purposely for fitting inside a tender garage. Their height is just shy of eight feet (2.35 meters) when tucked away in the garage, in fact. Additionally, much like many limo tenders, they have long windows to each side and skylights. All the glass is privacy glass, too.

The owner of the Lürssen yacht Blue wanted the two Compass Tenders to match her color scheme as well. The 14 guests who can sit on the leather-covered seating are immersed in a subdued ambience of creams and browns, with wood soles underneath. (Alfresco seating for six complements this.) For further comfort and convenience, it has a head, a refrigerator, and prep space for drinks. And, when the guests are ready to depart the tender to board the superyacht, the aft platform’s height is flush with that of the yacht Blue’s swim platform.

Compass Tenders, which recently created a “Shadow Kitten” catamaran tender for a superyacht cat, made sure the guests will arrive quickly, too. The twin Volvo Penta engines promise 45-knot speeds.
