Here’s the megayacht created by Quartostile for the Benetti Design Innovation Project, measuring 229’7” (70 meters). The design team refers to her as QS Benetti Innovation 70.
If you missed our previous coverage of the Benetti Design Innovation Project, Benetti invited more than a dozen current and new megayacht designers to participate. All were requested to create designs that could become the next generation of Benetti yachts. In addition, all had to be based on Benetti’s proven hull platforms ranging from 164 to 295 feet (50 meters to 90 meters, respectively).
As for Quartostile, it’s based in Turin, Italy and focuses on yacht design as well as automotive and industrial design. Its yacht team includes an engineering division as well as interior division. Quartostile has previously collaborated with Azimut and Mondo Marine.
Quartostile’s QS Benetti Innovation 70 features strong lines, especially the vertical bow and angular hull sides. Yet, the designers wanted to avoid an extreme look, so there are also softened sections. For a megayacht of her size, she appears quite sleek, in part due to the long foredeck. Note the helipad there, as well as a hot tub tucked just aft of it to port. There’s further a seating area to each side of that hot tub, leading us to believe it could be either a private space for the owners, if the master suite is just inside the floor-to-ceiling, glass-lined superstructure, or a general gathering area for all guests. Benetti and Quartostile have not released an interior arrangement.
