By the end of June, the owners of the newest Hargrave, Second Love, should have their 101-foot ride in their hands.
A raised-pilothouse model similar in style to previous Hargrave 101s like King Baby and Victoriano, Second Love arrived stateside last week after a little over a month’s voyage from the shipyard in Taiwan. Soft goods like carpeting are being put into place here, as is Hargrave’s practice, before the formal hand-over.
With a beam of 21 feet (6.4 meters), and a draft of 5’8” (1.77 meters), Second Love has the spatial and depth configurations of a megayacht meant for spending lots of time in the Bahamas and other shallow-water regions. A total of nine people in the owner’s party can be accommodated aboard, in three guest staterooms and a full-beam master suite, all below decks.
Second Love’s general arrangement on the main deck has the customary country kitchen, plus a saloon and dining area that flow into one another. Given what happens on a lot of yachts with this layout, the owners and guests will likely spend more time hanging out with the chef in the country kitchen than sitting at the formal dining table.
They’ll probably also spend abundant time on the flying bridge, where the hardtop nicely shades seating and a bar area.
Second Love will make her boat-show debut at this fall’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
