A Northern European buyer saw his Custom Line Navetta 28 launch at the Italian yard last month.
The Navetta line reflects shippier styling than the rest of the sleek Custom Line offerings. It’s intended for buyers who plan longer distance traveling, versus the “see and be seen” spots.
Because each Custom Line Navetta is built on a semi-custom basis, the buyer of this Navetta 28 got to personalize a variety of things. Most yacht-watchers will only see the effect of this outside. The gray hull the owner wanted highlights the stronger styling. On the small sundeck, the hot tub is shifted aft, versus forward on hull number one.
Inside, the Navetta 28 features far more. Her decor is decidedly contemporary, combining walls of mirrors with ebony and lacquered materials. The owner collaborated with Eric Kuster, a designer known for mixing classic and modern touches. Together with the Ferretti Group’s in-house design department, they further selected alabaster, marble, and mosaics in silver and gold. Some of the furnishings aboard this Navetta 28 are Kuster’s own designs as well.
The general arrangement additionally reflects the owner’s ideas on design. The skylounge includes a bar and can remain open to the partially shaded aft upper deck. It makes the second deck of the Navetta 28 more of a living and relaxing space than similar spots of other yachts. (Consider that many megayachts, hull number one of the Navetta 28 included, place the bar on the main deck.)
Of course, the owner and guests can still enjoy meals on the main deck and enjoy nice views from their staterooms below decks.
Sea trials are expected to confirm a 16-knot top speed under MAN power. You should see this Navetta 28 cruising around the South of France during the summer.
Meanwhile, hull number three in the series is still in build, and under contract.
