The largest-ever Custom Line isn’t significant solely due to her 121’5” (37.04-meter) length. The Navetta 37 has her own hull design and reflects new thinking from the brand in terms of sound and vibration reduction. This, in addition to an interior that customers can tailor to their tastes.
Clients will appreciate seeing things they’d expect to find. This includes a master suite on the main deck, spanning the full 26-foot (8-meter) beam. Owners of the Navetta 37 get a nicely outfitted office/reading nook as part of the suite, too. We say “reading nook” due to the way hull number one appears. She features a big walnut-wood bookcase in the office, along with additional shelves, all further outfitted in leather. The megayacht also includes four guest staterooms below decks, made inviting especially due to large ports. Custom Line claims these are among the largest windows you’ll see for similar cabins aboard other yachts. All spaces below and above deck on hull number one show off dark-walnut furnishings, leather, and lacquered surfaces. The main deck (below) also has oak soles. Custom Line’s in-house design team selected numerous accessories, chairs, and more from fellow Italian brands, like Paola Lenti.
The hull created for the Navetta 37 allows for moderate speeds regardless of engine package. Five packages are available, at that. If range is of utmost important to you, you might keep the standard MAN V12 1400 CR powerplants. They permit a reported 1,150-nautical-mile range at 12 knots, with a 15-knot top speed. The biggest boost in speed comes from twin Caterpillar C32s, allowing a reported 17½-knot top speed, but a range of 850 nautical miles.
For sound and vibration reduction, the builder collaborated with specialists to address traditional trouble spots. The engine room is one. Therefore, the Navetta 37 has a floating floor beneath the relaxation areas directly above it, plus adjacent to it. Additional sound-absorbing tiles appear in technical areas throughout the yacht. But, to preserve peace even more, the Navetta 37 has a sound-cancelling system for alfresco areas. The main aft deck was of key focus, due to gensets typically running at anchor.
The Custom Line brand celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The Navetta 37 is serving as the new flagship, though plans exist for yet another, larger model. It should be interesting to see what features she will reserve for herself.
In the meantime, take an armchair tour of hull number one of the 37:
