The 26th-annual International Superyacht Society Awards for Design and Leadership, the oldest awards presented in the megayacht realm, saw strong competition in a few categories. Handed out last evening, they also saw the first-ever award presented to a yacht complying with the Passenger Yacht Code.
The winners are:
Best Power, 24-40M: Iron Man, by Benetti (above)
Best Power, 40-65M: Atlante, by CRN
Best Power, 65M+: Savannah, by Feadship
Best Sail, 24-40M: Nikata, by Baltic Yachts
Best Sail, 40M+: Unfurled, by Vitters Shipyard (above)
Best Refit: Falcon Lair, a Feadship built in 1983 (as New Horizon L) and refitted by Compositeworks; tasks included completely redesigning the superstructure, and extending the yacht about 10 feet (3 meters)
Best Interior: Narvalo, designed by Nauta Design (built by Cantiere delle Marche)
PYC Award (given to a megayacht complying with the Passenger Yacht Code): Equanimity, by Oceanco.
