Feast your eyes on the three-deck-high atrium above, aboard Feadship 809. Rising from the main deck to the sundeck, it’s one of several special features aboard this 217-foot (66.25-meter) megayacht, nearing completion at Royal Van Lent.
Feadship 809, which is available for sale through the shipyard, bears styling by De Voogt Naval Architects and Eidsgaard Design. One of the most striking elements is the transom. Rather than the de rigueur fold-down platform revealing a beach club, Feadship 809 has a beach club with a permanent view. It’s flanked by spacious sunning/seating areas, further ideally situated at the base of the twin steps from the main aft deck. (You can see the setup in the photo gallery below; click any of the renderings to launch the full display.) Feadship 809 has an ample swim platform, too, so you can board watertoys in a matter of moments.
Inside, 10 guests are treated to staterooms with better-than-expected views. How? They’re all situated on the main deck. The views continue in the hallway, too, thanks to the above-mentioned atrium. Furthermore, the VIP suite, benefitting from the 38’7” (11.8-meter) beam, can split into two staterooms if needed. Eidsgaard Design and the Feadship team have ensured the removable wall stays concealed so that no one need be the wiser.
As you’d expect, the owners of Feadship 809 get the royal treatment. The full deck aft of the wheelhouse and captain’s cabin is devoted to them. A feature we particularly like: an extendable balcony.
On the sundeck, a multi-purpose room takes center stage. Aboard many megayachts, this is a gym. But, Feadship 809 already has a gym. It’s adjacent to the spa on the lower deck, where there’s also a fold-down terrace to make it open air. So, the sundeck room could be an aerie-like lounge, even a terrific kids’ hideaway.
If it becomes the latter, Feadship 809 has some decidedly grown-up spaces on the rest of the sundeck. A bar, hot tub, sunpads, and seating areas are aft. Open-ended bulwarks flank each side back here, lending an element of privacy yet still providing great views due to smoked-glass panels inset into them. Forward, you and your guests can arrive in style via the touch-and-go helipad. When not in use, the pad can host seating or dining setups.
To be run by a crew of 19, Feadship 809 awaits a buyer. Fill out our contact form to be put in touch with the yard directly.
