Tapping the growing trend for aft-deck pools and nearly full-height glass, Delta Marine is stimulating current and potential clients’ imaginations with a design proposal. The Delta 67M (219’8”) concept is for an owners’ party of 14. While it provides the indulgences they prefer, it simultaneously should suit a crew of 20 in going about their business efficiently.
The Delta 67M concept comes from the in-house Delta Design Group. The studio, staffed with naval architects, engineers, and interior designers, can oversee all aspects or collaborate with a designer of your choice. There are various suggested configurations, too, including for tender stowage and even hull colors. Traditionalists may prefer the all-white profile, though we think the bronze hull above lends contemporary flair without being flamboyant.
Since alfresco areas are all important aboard megayachts, the Delta 67M makes the pool the center of the action. The pool’s aft wall can be glass, to filter light into the intimate beach club tucked just inside the transom. That beach club forms when the transom folds down. It has a handy day head to port, plus a stairway straight up to the main deck. For security when no one’s using the beach club, a motorized hatch covers the stairs.
The Delta 67M reserves a good deal of alfresco space solely for you, too. There’s an entire owners’ deck up one level from the main deck. At anchor, enjoy the loose lounges aft or the private seating area overlooking the bow. The latter is just outside the master suite. If you want your friends to join you, they can do so at the indoor-outdoor dining area.
Imagine arriving onboard in style, too. It’s possible, since the Delta 67M has a helipad aft on the bridge deck. Alternately this same area can be set up with sun lounges, as shown above, and another dining/snacks spot. Further entertaining spaces include the traditional main saloon and formal dining area.
Even though a glass elevator connects all the decks of the Delta 67M, guests who indulge at dinner might want to take the stairs to the bridge-deck gym. Why? Well, while they elegantly wrap around the elevator, it’s not really for the scenery. Rather, all six guest staterooms are on the main deck, versus the lower deck.
