As much as the crew of a megayacht makes or breaks the charter experience, the yacht herself must pass muster. Charter clients that prefer yachts with recently refurbished interiors should take note of QM of London. Having undergone two previous interior redesigns since delivery in 1998, the 163’7” (49.9-meter) QM of London has completed yet another extensive redecoration.
Built by Benetti as part of its Golden Bay series, QM of London completely her latest refit several weeks ago. The interior design is a bit more classic, versus the previous lush and lavish look, in some areas. In the master (above), for example, the copiously detailed carpeting has been replaced with a single-tone cream carpeting. There’s also striking black-and-white photography adorning various walls from deck to deck aboard QM of London.
One of the highlights of QM of London has long been her unusual stateroom layout. She has seven staterooms, including the owners’ suite. It’s unusual for this setup to be found on the charter market. In total, the staterooms include two VIPs, four guest staterooms, and of course the master occupying the full beam. The configuration can suit big charter parties, or those who have staff accompany them.
As mentioned above, the crew are vital to the charter experience. To that end, QM of London has a yoga instructor and a masseuse/beautician onboard. Other crewmembers can teach you how to use the fun toys, including the Flyboard and PWCs.
QM of London is in the central charter fleet of Y.CO. Her summer charter rate is €195,000 per week. Her low rate is €165,000 per week.
