Life is set to be a breeze aboard the Benetti being christened Breeze in a few weeks. The 163-foot (49.8-meter) megayacht, started on spec, recently was acquired by an experienced owner.
Breeze began as Benetti project FB802. She’s the second hull in the yard’s 50-meter custom displacement series. Not only is her owner well-versed in yachting, but Antoine Larricq, the client’s broker from Fraser Yachts, says this is his third Benetti.
In an interesting twist, Breeze features a fiberglass hull and an aluminum superstructure. The mating of these materials is not new. What is different, though, is that usually the superstructure is fiberglass and the hull is aluminum. Even with that, though, Breeze follows a mostly typical general arrangement within her 30-foot (9.26-meter) beam. Four guest staterooms are below decks, with the master suite on the main deck, complete with a balcony. Two of the guest cabins have pullmans, too. The sundeck has virtual acres of space, comprising 1,356 square feet (126 square meters). Here, the owner and guests can soak in the hot tub or soak up the sun. Those suffering from sore muscles after vigorous swims in the ocean can enjoy a massage on the bridge deck.
Eleven crew and the captain will see to Breeze and her guests. There’s no word on whether the yacht will charter or solely be used privately upon delivery in June.
Meanwhile, third megayacht in the same series is in build at Benetti, also on spec. She’ll be ready for hand-over next year.
