Life at sea is surely the elixir of life, at least aboard Elixir. Part of the successful Amels 180 series, the megayacht invites the owners and charter guests to leave their cares on land.
Having both a sauna and a steam room at your disposal makes it nearly impossible to remain stressed. Well, while the sauna is for all to use, contained within the beach club, Elixir situates the steam room in the master suite’s bath. (A little extra level of exclusivity, and deservedly so, wouldn’t you agree?) Also ideal for encouraging enjoyment: diving gear.
If members of your party—12 guests can stay aboard Elixir—don’t dive, they can enjoy the undersea explorations vicariously. Take along waterproof cameras or video cameras on your excursions, then share the scenes in the skylounge cinema. You may feel as if you’re immersed in the water again, too, considering Elixir has a 110-inch TV here. Every seat along the sofa has a front-row view.
Speaking of front-row views, you can gather around a piano in the skylounge as well. Head back to the main deck to step out onto the balconies that fold out to each side of the saloon. The master suite has a fold-down balcony, too, naturally. Some of the best views come from the sundeck and upper deck of Elixir, though. Up on the sundeck, you can enjoy sunsets while the backlighting in the onyx bar becomes more prominent. All 12 of you will likely want to enjoy most meals alfresco aft on the upper deck. No matter if the weather turns a bit chilly: Overhead heaters keep it comfortable.
Elixir charters via the central agency of Y.CO. She has some dates available in the Western Med in the coming weeks, then heads to the Caribbean for the winter. Enjoy this armchair tour, where bleached maple mixes with macassar ebony.
