Azimut’s Azimut Grande division is working on a new flagship in its Flybridge range: the Azimut Grande 140.
Interesting enough, the Azimut Grande 140, measuring 140 feet (42.7 meters), will also be the largest Azimut Grande overall. Besides the Flybridge series, there’s an SL series of sport yachts, which has a 120 as the biggest megayacht model.
As for the 140, she shares some exterior features with her smaller sisters. These include a fixed hardtop over the flying bridge and a dramatically flared bow. Of course, Azimut’s design team has given her a personality all her own, too. To that end, there’s an eye-catching expanse of glass along each side of the bridge deck. It extends farther aft than the windows on the other Flybridge range megayachts. Look closely at the main deck in the rendering here, and you’ll notice two areas where there appear to be floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. One is toward the aft portion of the deck, likely for guests in the saloon and dining areas. The other is likely in the master suite, given the popularity of main-deck owner’s staterooms these days.
Below decks, five guest staterooms accommodate 10 guests, with additional cabins for an equal number of crewmembers.
Azimut expects the Azimut Grande 140 to top out at 22 knots and cruise at 17 knots. Power will be courtesy of twin MTU 16V 4000 M93L diesels.
