This summer, Canados expects to launch a new flybridge megayacht model bridging the gap between the Canados 86 and 120, named the Canados 106.
Despite the name, the Canados 106 is a little longer than you’d expect: 107’3” (32.7 meters). Beam is 23’8” (7.26 meters), which is in keeping with other megayachts from other builders in her size range. Full-load draft should be a skinny-water-friendly 6’9” (2.1 meters). While Canados does not reveal any anticipated performance figures, the Canados 106 will be equipped with twin 16V MTU 2000 M94 diesels and have a fuel capacity of about 3,963 gallons (15,000 liters). For comparison’s sake, the Canados 120 has the same power package and hits speeds in the mid- to high-20-knot range. The Canados 86 has Caterpillar power and is faster, cruising in the high 20s and topping out in the low 30s.
Styling and naval architecture for the Canados 106 is being handled entirely in house. In a departure from the other flying-bridge megayachts as well as other Canados megayachts in general, the Canados 106 has much larger side windows along the main deck, including full-height glass flanking the dining area. Inside, Cristiano Gatto Design is fashioning an all-custom decor highlighted by oak paneling and teak soles, from the saloon and main-deck owner’s suite (above, which also has skylights) to the three guest staterooms below decks. One of those guest staterooms has twins that push together to form a double. Six crewmembers are further housed aboard in three cabins.
Also coming this summer: the second Canados 120 (the model line was introduced last year).
