The largest deep-water marina in the Florida Keys, The Perry Marina has changed ownership, and management. The Key West property will still cater to some of the largest yachts in the world, however.
The Perry Marina is capable of accommodating megayachts to 350 feet (106.7 meters), in fact. Overall, it has 288 slips, all of which feature floating concrete docks. It additionally has depths from 18 to 25 feet (5.5 to 7.6 meters), meaning sailing superyachts as well as motoryachts can book its slips. Some visitors may know it by another name, that being Stock Island Marina. This name comes from its location on Stock Island, which is considered part of Key West but physical separate by a narrow channel.
The marina is now under the ownership of Integra Marinas, a division of Integra Investments. Integra Investments has several holdings in Florida and Rhode Island. These include the Sea Isle Marina in Miami, for example. Management of the property, meanwhile, will come from Oasis Marinas. That firm is well versed in superyachts. Among other marinas, it oversees Cape Charles Yacht Center in Virginia and the Inner Harbor Marina in Baltimore.
“The Perry Marina’s location within a world-class destination for domestic and international boaters allows for some of the top fishing and nautical experiences of any coastal location,” says Victor Ballestas, a principal with Integra Investments. He adds that his company remains devoted to the local community, too. In fact, he points to the recent groundbreaking of Wrecker’s Cay, a nearby apartment complex for workforce housing. The apartments should open in about 18 months.
The Perry Marina will continue offering high-speed fueling, a ship’s store, a captain’s lounge, shops, and a restaurant. Sharing some of the 35 acres upon which it sits, minutes from Key West’s Old Town, is The Perry Hotel. The 100-room hotel sold simultaneously with the marina, though to different owners. The now-former owners permitted guests to rent boats from the marina.
