Onda is a Greek RIB maker whose roots go back to 1962. Initially, it manufactured RIBs for military and recreational use. In fact, its military customers included the Greek army, as well as other government agencies. In more recent years, its focus shifted to the megayacht market. Onda’s craft combine the military’s demand for strong seakeeping with luxury consumers’ demand for style and comfort. Initially, those consumers were from Europe. However, Onda created an American office in 2022 to better address the biggest megayacht market in the world.
The Onda 341 Magna is premiering at the St. Petersburg Boat Show in Florida from January 18 to 21. The show is a deliberate choice for a few reasons. Firstly, the U.S. Gulf Coast is among the strongest markets for rigid inflatable center console sales. Secondly, Floridian cruisers gravitate toward powerful performance mixed with strong style. Additionally, since many megayachts visit South Florida, the show is accessible for owners and captains in the state.
With speeds reportedly exceeding 60 knots, the Onda 341 Magna is a 34-footer (10.3-meter) with a deep-V, stepped hull. The rigid inflatable center console, further with a 9-foot (2.79-meter) beam, has room for eight passengers to spread out.
