Let’s face it: No matter how intelligent we are in our everyday business dealings, we all can and do still make mistakes. This also rings particularly true when it comes to yacht ownership. Buying and owning are complicated matters. There are contracts to sign, machinery and other equipment to select, designs to approve, liaisons to manage… and a whole lot of people to consult, because no single person has the answer to everything.
But how do owners ensure that they have surrounded themselves with the right people? That’s where someone like Michael Moore, founder of the maritime law firm Moore & Company, comes in. (Moore is further the chairman of the ocean conservation organization International SeaKeepers Society.)
