Inside the Owner’s Suite is the first podcast entirely dedicated to the superyacht ownership experience, in the owners’ own voices. These are conversations about vision and turning points. It’s what they learn years into cruising and stepping up in size—knowledge they couldn’t have had on day one. It’s how they approach design, crew, and operations. Ultimately, it’s about what makes the ownership experience so satisfying.
Hosted by Megayacht News’ editor Diane M. Byrne, the podcast grew out of decades of yachting journalism. Simultaneously, the inspiration was a series of candid conversations with owners who proved generous, reflective, and genuinely compelling. Their enthusiasm for the ocean, the places it lets them visit, and memories with friends and family made it clear that these stories deserve hearing.
The first episode of Inside the Owner’s Suite features Erik Vonk, the owner of Scintilla Maris. His approach to ownership is, by any standard, adventurous.
