When the team behind Kube came up with the idea of a wireless outdoor speaker, they didn’t have megayacht owners in mind. Yet, several owners have already expressed strong interest. They want to take Kube aboard their tenders when they shuttle to shore for beachside fun.
The water-resistant speaker, retailing for $2,999, pumps out strong sound. In fact, with 122 decibels of output and an audio range of 500 feet (152 meters), it projects with little distortion. Better yet, Kube pledges up to 50 hours of playing time. Just connect it to your smartphone or tablet via WiFi or Bluetooth, and you’re all set.
As if that’s not enough, it strives to be the ultimate party platform. Kube has stowage big enough for (count ‘em) 16 bottles of wine. (Or whatever gear you want protected from splashes and sun. But we like the wine option better.)
