A floating festival promoting the pristine beauty of undeveloped Indian Ocean islands is now an annual event. Come February, you can join the “Sail the Andamans” Yacht Carnival & Rally.
The first rally and carnival, announced this time last year, introduced yacht and megayacht owners and guests to a variety of opportunities. The Andaman Islands, comprised of hundreds of islands, are primarily uninhabited. Therefore, wide-open beaches and anchorages await. In addition, due to crystal-clear waters, diving and snorkeling are ideal, as is surfing.
The second-annual “Sail the Andamans” Yacht Carnival & Rally starts February 20, running through March 21. The month-long adventures start and end in Port Blair, the capital city of the islands. Asia Pacific Superyachts is once again coordinating yacht arrivals, customs clearance, and related matters. This includes, for example, assisting with pre-rally accommodations in Port Blair, if you want to explore a few days on land. Alternately, you can arrive onboard your yacht via Phuket, or other regions.
Regardless, Asia Pacific Superyachts is returning as the yacht agent for the event. Furthermore, Andaman Holidays is the organizer. Together, they have an itinerary to introduce you and your guests to the generations-old cultures, foods, natural beauty, and more of the islands. In fact, the “Sail the Andamans” Yacht Carnival & Rally includes both on- and off-water activities. “Yachts arriving from international waters will find one of the most picturesque and fascinating parts of the world,” Asia Pacific Superyachts asserts.
The event does have limited spaces for yachts. Email Andaman Holidays to obtain details on the cruising itinerary, plus costs per yacht/people onboard. Some activities are also suggested optional extras, so inquire about those, too.
