With a 499 gross tonnage, the newest contract from Sunreef Yachts is big, in multiple ways. It also continues the yard’s growth in both the megayacht market and the power market. The 110 Sunreef Power, a catamaran configuration like the rest of the yard’s launches, should see delivery in about two years.
The 110 Sunreef Power is a custom yacht, too. Measuring 109’9” (33.5 meters), with a beam of 45’6” (13.9 meters), she comes from the drawing boards of the in-house design and engineering teams. The owner and designers took inspiration for the styling from the supercar industry. For instance, the hull lines are long and smooth, yet somewhat aggressive, too.
Comprising four decks, the 110 Sunreef Power will have accommodations for an owner’s party of eight. Three ample—“vast,” in Sunreef’s terminology—guest staterooms should please friends and family. In keeping with shipyard tradition, these staterooms will all be below decks. It’s because Sunreef’s production yachts have proven how much the expansive beam can make an open-plan saloon a great gathering space. While illustrations are not available, the shipyard does say the 110 Sunreef Power’s saloon will be significant in scale. The owner’s suite, meanwhile, sits on the bridge deck, additionally with access to a private alfresco area.
All onboard will have access to a number of enjoyable alfresco areas. For example, the 110 Sunreef Power will feature a fire pit as well as a hot tub on the sun deck. Lounging space and a bar complement these amenities. In addition, the main deck will see big sunpads forward, while aft, a traditional dining/sitting/lounging area welcomes several people at once.
Run by nine crewmembers, the 110 Sunreef Power, with twin MTU engines, will, of course, also have several toys onboard, including two PWCs and a tender.
In related news, Sunreef is constructing a custom 161-footer (49-meter) catamaran, the largest contract in its history. The project is further the largest megayacht from a Polish shipyard. Details are scarce, but so far, Sunreef says an owner’s party of 10 will stay aboard. Seventeen crew will be as well. Delivery is set for the end of 2021. At that point, she should be the world’s largest private catamaran, too.
