While Sunreef Yachts is among the builders with proposals up into the 200-foot-plus (61-meter-plus) realm, the most megayacht buyers own and are seeking smaller ones. The 150 Sunreef Power, the yard’s newest design, should therefore generate interest, particularly among catamaran enthusiasts.
Sunreef intends to start production, which should take two years, upon a contract being signed. Despite her name, the 150 Sunreef Power is actually closer to 151 feet LOA (46 meters). Never mind, though. The increased living space and stability of a catamaran configuration are her selling points. The beam alone is 44’3” (13.5 meters). All told, there’s about 10,764 square feet (1,000 square meters) of usable space from the hulls to the flying bridge.
Sunreef will design the general arrangement the way you wish. For now, it’s showing interested buyers the master stateroom forward on the upper deck. You’ll get direct access to a teak-laid seating area just outside, too. Also outside, on the flying bridge, you can have a hot tub. The suggested layout of the 150 Sunreef Power also has a main-deck dining area and saloon with fold-down balconies. American buyers will probably want the galley on the main deck as well. European and other international buyers might prefer it being below decks, with a dedicated stairway for the eight-person-strong crew. Accommodations for 10 friends and family further go below decks. Or, swap out one of the staterooms for a gym.
Performance-wise, Sunreef anticipates the 150 Sunreef Power to see a 4,500-nautical-mile range at 12 knots. Twin 2,600-hp MTUs should also allow a cruise speed of 17 knots and a top end of 22 knots. A shallow draft of 4’9” (1.5 meters) means you’ll be able to visit a good number of popular tropical spots. If the marinas there can’t accommodate you, the 150 Sunreef Power will tote a tender for shuttling to and from shore, along with watertoys, in an aft garage.
