Maiora felt strongly that yacht buyers would like the blend of benefits that its new M Collection superyacht series offers. Considering that four clients signed contracts while the Maiora M|30 yacht was still mostly on paper, it appears it’s on the right track.

The family looking forward to cruising aboard hull number one was at the Maiora shipyard in Viareggio, Italy this week for the official launch and christening. While all Maioras have emphasized strong style and outdoor living, the Maiora M|30 yacht re-imagines them for modern living. The 100-footer (30.4-meter) still has automotive-influenced, coupé-like lines, for instance, but with the full-height windows buyers want. Quartostile, the design studio responsible for the exterior styling, further spreads the sporty looks across three decks, keeping them sleek.

As for alfresco amenities, they take advantage of essentially every corner of deck space. The high bow, for example, is a large sunning and sundowners area. It’s also a prime spot for enjoying the ride to the next destination, with enough seating for the full family. Walkaround decks mean guests can enjoy lunch under the hardtop and go back to sightseeing or sunning all on the same level. The cascading levels of the Maiora M|30 yacht’s aft deck, though, will likely be the main attraction. Quartostile and Maiora imagined it as a waterfront lounge, and it delivers an aft-facing, large sunpad, along with a conversation area perched above it.

Throughout the interior, Maiora’s in-house design team and Acube Design fashioned rooms for waterborne living. Although the shipyard hasn’t revealed what the owners of the first hull requested, a dining area can sit directly at the aft-deck entrance. Furthermore, from the full-beam master suite to the guest cabins below, up to 12 people can stay aboard.

Run by a crew of five, the Maiora M|30 yacht should see a top speed of 21 knots. The megayacht makes her global premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival next month.
