My Legacy is just weeks away from her first summer season of cruising. The fully custom megayacht celebrated her official launch at Codecasa’s shipyard in Viareggio, Italy this month.
My Legacy is Codecasa Hull F78, a 184-footer (56-meter) featuring styling by the shipyard’s own Technical Team. That same Technical Team is responsible for naval architecture. The owners, who enjoyed seeing the launch during a private ceremony, requested a full-displacement yacht with a traditional steel hull. Naturally, this means transatlantic range, which in the case of My Legacy is 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Power comes from twin Caterpillar engines, which additionally permit a top end of 17 knots.
For the interior design, the owners chose yet another Italian company, Design Studio Spadolini. My Legacy accommodates an owners’ party or 10 amid four decks. Unfortunately, no photos or artist’s renderings are available of the room arrangements or the décor. However, Codecasa does say that Tommaso Spadolini provided those who’ll cruise aboard with a classic-looking ambience, featuring a good deal of mahogany and mahogany plume paneling. The rich wood is found throughout the yacht, from the guest staterooms below decks to the master suite and on up to the skylounge.
For the owners’ and guests’ pleasure outside, meanwhile, the megayacht has several seating and social areas. Surely destined to get the most use, the sun deck provides them with a significant-size sunning space, which surrounds an equally large swimming pool.
Look for My Legacy, managed by a captain and crew total of 13 hands, to start cruising this summer. She’ll be used privately, not available for charter.
