UPDATE, AUGUST 4, 2022: Denison Yachting is now representing the Lycka superyacht project, actively promoting it for contract signing. Read on for our original article.
From nicknames we give to our friends to how we christen our yachts, names hold special meaning. The Lycka superyacht concept from Tillberg Design of Sweden and Nobiskrug, ready for contract, follows suit. In Swedish, lycka means “happiness.” Naturally, this is what the design and build teams want a buyer to feel. With a sophisticated Scandinavian ambience, the 252-footer (77-meter) sets a scene for you to relax and reinvigorate while at sea. “Our goal is to create a yacht that can stand the test of time,” adds Daniel Nerhagen, the design partner and yacht director.
Although the design is entirely customizable, Tillberg Design of Sweden suggests Scandinavian influences due to their simplicity and calming tones. Plus, they complement the contemporary styling. Regardless, oversize windows and opening balconies accentuate the intention to soothe your soul. You’ll find these in areas like the main-deck breakfast nook, featuring a balcony, tucked to starboard of the galley. It sits just outside the owners’ suite, conveniently, and is separate from the formal dining area on the same deck. You’ll also find a soothing atmosphere in the lower deck’s beach club and spa (above), which you can still use with the side hatches folded up.
The Lycka superyacht concept, for a party of 14, has yet another spa on the bridge deck. It’s a combination of a gym and spa, actually, for workouts with a view. It’s just aft of the wheelhouse, too, conveniently close to a day head and the sky lounge. If you start your day with exercise, you can head straight out aft to the alfresco dining area. The crew can then serve breakfast from the pantry on the same deck. Nobiskrug and Tillberg Design of Sweden further provide them dedicated stairs down to the galley and the rest of the crew area below decks. That area, by the way, has 10 double cabins, with the captain housed aft of the wheelhouse.
Whether you welcome guests with a drink from the alfresco main-deck bar or invite them to soak in the hot tub on the sundeck, the Lycka superyacht concept opens up a world of relaxation and entertainment. Know, too, that Tillberg Design of Sweden prioritizes sustainable materials, while Nobiskrug can incorporate hybrid propulsion. Even the styling and paint jobs are yours to personalize.
