A family of cruising enthusiasts were just as enthusiastic over the weekend, watching their yacht Infinity launch in Italy. She’s the second Baglietto T52 yacht so far.
Similar to the first T52 yacht, Infinity has a 79-foot-long (24-meter-long) sundeck. While fully alfresco, the deck has some sheltered space thanks to the navigation arch support. Although the shipyard hasn’t revealed how the owner and his family intend to use it, typically you’ll find a dining area in the shade. Additionally, sunpads and loose lounges take advantage of the fully aft and fully forward sections, for the view, too.
The yacht Infinity has additional features in common with the first T52, too. For instance, she boasts a multi-level beach area. It spans the deck space from the water’s edge up to the main saloon’s entry. Secondly, she has a swimming pool that can transform into further flush deck space. (The pool floor can rise when it’s not in use.) Thirdly, floor-to-ceiling glass walls to each side of the sundeck slide open, and the aft-most wall opens accordion-style.
None of this is to say, though, that the owner did everything exactly the same as the owner of hull number one. On the contrary, two significant differences exist. For example, the master suite has access to an alfresco gym. Working out in the fresh air was important, more than simply having an observation settee or cocktail table. Additionally, the yacht Infinity uses traditional Caterpillar engines, rather than hybrid propulsion. Upcoming sea trials should confirm a top speed of 16 knots as well.
Finally, it’s worth noting that Baglietto and Francesco Paszkowski Design, which is responsible for styling and interiors, have been collaborating since 1992.
