Although Falcon Yachts launched several motoryachts after opening its doors in 1992, success was short-lived, with it closing in 2011. New ownership intends to turn the Italian brand around, with new models and a new operations base in Pisa, Italy. The first of those models is the Falcon F50 yacht, a semi-custom superyacht promising big spaces and flexibility.
Featuring a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the F50 is a 164-footer (50-meter). Although the build team hasn’t revealed the beam or draft, it does provide good insight into the overall design. Naturally, since the project will be semi-custom, buyers can tailor areas the way they see fit. Already, though, Falcon Yachts and designer Horacio Bozzo have created multiple options for some areas. For instance, a VIP suite can sit on the upper deck. (The master suite occupies prime space forward on the main deck.) Should owners want a different option for the upper deck, though, the possibilities include a gym, an office, or a playroom. Regardless, four further VIPs sit below decks, as you would expect, as will the crew cabins for 10.
One of the most surprising spaces onboard is the beach club. It unfolds over 1,076 square feet (100 square meters) of relaxation right at the water’s edge. What’s more, it leads directly into a dining area, which remains open to the sea views. No wonder that Falcon Yachts says in a statement that “Bozzo’s vision emphasizes an innovative use of space.”
Even with this, the Falcon F50 yacht still prioritizes abundant alfresco space. For example, the sundeck should prove to be popular with owners and guests due to its day-to-night offerings. Lunches can take place beneath the hardtop, for example. Afterwards, the hot tub extends an invitation, as does a welcoming lounge. Pre-dinner cocktails follow at the bar a few feet away, too.
With a tender garage capable of carrying PWCs, a guest tender, and the rescue tender, the Falcon F50 yacht won’t start construction on spec. Rather, the shipyard wants to have a client onboard for full personalization. Regardless, if a contract signs soon, delivery could take place in 2027.
News of more models should come over the next several months.
