With yachting increasingly becoming a full-family affair, it’s no wonder that builders and designers are conceiving projects with this idea at heart. The Numarine 45XP yacht has areas “especially suitable for families with members of different ages who wish to spend a lot of time together,” explains Enrico Lumini of Hot Lab. But, these group-oriented spaces still allow young and old alike to enjoy their own special activities.
When it initially revealed the yacht concept in 2019, Numarine envisioned boundary-pushing arrangements. One, for instance, placed a waterfall outside the master stateroom. Ultimately, of course, the shipyard intended to incorporate a customer’s wishes. It still does, as does the Hot Lab design team, which Numarine brought aboard based on previous successful collaborations. This 149-footer (45.35-meter) is particularly special for the duo because she’s the flagship of Numarine’s lineup. She affords a buyer the opportunity to arrange the guest areas while knowing a proven technical platform supports them. So, for example, the Numarine 45XP yacht has engineering for far-flung travel, including an impressive range of 6,000 nautical miles. A volume of 498 gross tons lends itself well to comfortable spaces, too. “We gave some broad guidelines, primarily of a technical-structural nature,” says Ömer Malaz, Numarine’s chairman. “But we left much of the creative direction to the Hot Lab team.”

That creative direction taps into today’s owners enjoying warm, welcoming, appropriately sized spaces where a common color palette flows throughout. For instance, Hot Lab notes that owners prefer having staterooms that look and feel ample versus a specific number of them. For starting a conversation, Hot Lab recommends that the Numarine 45XP yacht have five staterooms. This includes a private forward alfresco area accessible directly from the master suite—considered indispensable.
The studio additionally has penned healthy-size, family-focused rooms. “We’ve tried to layer multiple uses within the same spaces to foster greater social interaction,” Lumini explains. “The saloon becomes a true piazza, with some lounge areas, others dedicated to dining, and still others to cinema.” Therefore, they’re “independent, yet united.”

As for the uniting décor materials, the Numarine 45XP yacht can make good use of wood and leather. A grey-sand hue for oak paneling pairs well with burgundy-toned leather. There’s visual interest without being ostentatious.
“I believe that the natural feel of these interiors makes for a winning approach,” Lumini says.

The yacht remains available to build on contract.
