Nearly 100 years after its founding, the Spanish shipyard Astondoa is making a bigger push into the U.S. market. It recently established Astondoa America and plans to bring both the Astondoa 80 GLX and Astondoa 110 GLX to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this fall. The 80 GLX in particular should turn heads with her sporty style. Her equally sporty performance is notable, too: a reported top end of 33 knots and reported cruise speed of 25 knots with the standard MAN engines.
Here’s a look at what one owner of an Astondoa 80 GLX has done to personalize his megayacht. The yard offers customers a variety of options for outfitting and even layout. Indeed, there have been Astondoa 80 GLX deliveries with four total staterooms below decks yet configured completely differently. Even the location of the stairway leading from the main deck down to the staterooms has been different.
