A little over a year since the hull turned on the first Numarine MXP 40 yacht, the nearly finished project is in the water. This is the yacht Miouch, belonging to a familiar face to the Turkish shipyard team.

In fact, the owner previously cruised aboard a Numarine 26XP megayacht from 2019. That 84-footer (26-meter) shares some rugged styling with this 128-footer (39-meter), since both are part of the explorer-esque XP Series. (“MXP” means “Mediterranean Explorer.”) However, the new launch has elongated deck areas, lending her further globetrotting-oriented looks. She also has a beach area, reflecting the soak-up-the-sun Med lifestyle. As Ömer Malaz, Numarine’s chairman, explains, “Preserving the same stylistic cues and DNA of all our models, the 40MXP retains our high-volume, low-maintenance, long-range ethos.” He also points out that the new series, Numarine’s flagship, provides features all her own, which “enhance the intimate connection with the sea that a yacht provides.”

Firstly, the beach area is a strong example. An infinity pool directly off the swim platform means nothing interrupts the views, not even the addition of a bimini overhead. Being terraced, the beach area also invites the owner and guests to sit facing the sea whether underway or at anchor, again with nothing interfering with enjoying the scenery. Similarly, dining and happy hours take place under the shade from the deck above, still feeling connected to the beach area.

For indulging in more of the Mediterranean lifestyle, the yacht Miouch has a glass-enveloped pool on her flying bridge. Since the remainder of the alfresco space up here is for loose furnishings, it really redefines “infinity pool.” And, because there’s no such thing as too much alfresco space, a hardtop-equipped sundeck tops her off. More loose furnishings and a bar make it welcoming.

Since Numarine focuses on long-range motoryachts, the 40MXP puts a priority on going farther than other motoryachts. In fact, according to the shipyard, Miouch should be capable of covering 6,000 nautical miles at 8 knots. The owner can watch the world go by from the comfort of his main-deck suite. Two further guest suites are on the same deck, with three more guest cabins below decks. Upon arrival, everyone will have a choice of watertoys for exploring the shorelines. These include three PWCs and a 29’5” (9-meter) tender.
