Arcadia Yachts A125 Sneak Peek Promises Volume Within a Glass House

When Arcadia Yachts premiered its first project nearly 20 years ago, it was ahead of its time. Solar panels and walls of glass were the most readily recognizable characteristics, and spoke to the goal of immersing owners and guests in their surroundings in a more environmentally minded way. The builder is giving a glimpse of its future with teasers (above and bottom) of its upcoming flagship, the Arcadia Yachts A125.

Although details are scarce, the new model will be—as her name indicates—125 feet (38 meters) in length. With a volume of 299 gross tons, the A125 will additionally stand four decks high. A party of 10 will have five staterooms, too, with four cabins for seven crew. Since the model is semi-custom, Arcadia Yachts will consider owners’ requests for a higher guest stateroom total.

Notably, the Arcadia Yachts A125 is an entirely in-house project, meaning naval architecture, exterior styling, and interior design are all from the builder’s team.

Being the intended new flagship, the superyacht will top the current biggest model, the A115 (below). For comparison, that yacht has a volume of 266 gross tons. She further offers 5,382 square feet (500 square meters) of usable space spread over three decks, also for a party of 10. However, Arcadia Yachts says it isn’t introducing the A125 simply for size’s sake. “She’s the largest boat we’ve ever designed, but we see her size mainly in terms of what it allows us to express,” notes Ugo Pellegrino, the yard’s founder and CEO. That, he continues, means the ability to allow more yachting enthusiasts to enjoy the water while leaving a smaller footprint.

For example, since its inception, Arcadia Yachts has embedded solar panels within the glass in its yachts’ superstructures. This reduces reliance on the gensets for the hotel loads. The glass has essentially formed a glass box as well, being not just the walls but also the full ceilings of the saloon, dining room, and more. Furthermore, the solar cells don’t impede the views, nor the sun’s ability to lighten and brighten the interiors.

The indoor-outdoor lifestyle further has been a priority from the early days. Sliding glass has been present to the sides of the yachts for many years, and aboard its smaller superyachts like the A96. Combined with generous alfresco areas, the yachts provide a more immersive cruising experience.

Arcadia Yachts intends to reveal more about the new A125 in the coming months. It already has her global debut set for the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2028.
