Yacht buyers who want tenders and RIBs as tough as they are good-looking turn to X-Craft. The Dutch company’s philosophy is that these boats should stand up to sloppy conditions and remain comfortable. They should also be fast: 50- to 60-knot speeds are de rigeur for its tenders. With the X-Craft 10DER (a play on words for “tender”), the manufacturer is offering an equally speedy but even more stylish option.
The X-Craft 10DER has been penned by a young team with experience in the superyacht sector: Van Geest Design. X-Craft wanted a multi-purpose boat and one representing a clear design departure from its other offerings. The 32’8” (10-meter) X-Craft 10DER certainly embraces modern flair. It will complement a variety of megayachts currently on the water or in build. It also has a folding canopy for flexibility on sunny days and even rainy ones. Twelve guests and two crewmembers can ride aboard, too, ideal for very large yachts.
The hull form for the X-Craft 10DER is from Adam Younger Design, which has experience in offshore powerboats, raceboats, RIBs, and more. Construction is the same as other X-Craft offerings, composite via the vacuum-infusion process. Twin stern drives or waterjets are available. X-Craft pledges a 55-knot-plus top speed.
The first X-Craft 10DER will be ready in 2015. X-Craft also offers customized options like folding chocks, swim ladders, and shock-mitigating seats. For full details, visit the website or fill out our contact form, and we’ll put you in touch with the team.
