Since yachts cruise latitudes and longitudes, why not name yours after a location? That seems to be the thinking of the client behind this 153-foot (46.8-meter) megayacht. Longitude 47 is an all-aluminum custom project signed by Rossinavi, further marking a significant first. Longitude 47 is designed by Fulvio de Simoni, with whom Rossinavi has not previously collaborated.
Fulvio de Simoni is well-known for penning the lines of a number of yachts and megayachts from Pershing, Wider Yachts, Filippetti Yacht, and more. Sleek profiles are a specialty, and Longitude 47 follows suit. She has stylistic flair all her own, too, of course. Look closely at the rendering below. Note how curving lines just forward of the main aft deck flow up into the superstructure. Thematically, it unites the sundeck of Longitude 47 with the main deck, framing both areas without confining them.
Given the 29-foot (8.9-meter) beam, interior spaces aboard Longitude 47 shouldn’t be confining, either. In an interesting move, two VIP staterooms are on the main deck, along with the owner’s suite (the latter with panoramic views, as you might expect). The full owner’s party of 12 gets three interior lounges, including the main saloon and a beach club—which Rossinavi terms a “beach salon.” What should prove most interesting is the “telescopic” gym, to use the yard’s words, toward the bow.
For off-the-yacht fun, Longitude 47 will tote a variety of toys. These include tenders, PWCs, scuba gear, and SeaBobs.
Longitude 47 should see a top end of 21 knots and a cruise speed of 17 knots under twin MTU power. Rossinavi anticipates a 3,800-nautical-mile range, too. The six-foot (1.85-meter) draft will allow the yacht to access a variety of shallow and deep anchorages alike.
