This ever-so-small glimpse is all we have for now of Hull 418, the latest limo tender from Hodgdon Yachts.
The 39-footer (12-meter) is for the owner of an unnamed megayacht in build in northern Europe (The Netherlands or Germany). Hull 418 will be shipped overseas in a few weeks. Features include interior leather seating for 10, amid bird’s-eye maple cabinetry. There’s also alfresco seating for six. Crewmembers drive the tender from an aft helm station and can assist guests in boarding back there, or from either side of the forward seating area. Hodgdon Yachts made the removable polished stainless steel grabrails in house, as it does for most disciplines. Another nice feature of Hull 418: The helm roof lowers hydraulically for easier loading into and unloading from the megayacht’s tender bay. (The rendering below, of the suggested profile for the 12-meter tender series, illustrates how that roof appears fully upright.) Shuttling guests to shore from the megayacht should be quick work: Hodgdon Yachts expects cruising speeds higher than 35 knots under Volvo Penta power.
As has been the case with other limo tenders that Hodgdon Yachts has delivered, the naval architecture and general arrangement for Hull 418 are by Michael Peters Yacht Design. Owners are provided with a choice of configuration, soft goods, and more.
Hodgdon Yachts should release additional photos of Hull 418 in a few weeks.
