To drive American and Canadian sales and assist owners with service needs, Numarine now has a base in Fort Lauderdale. Numarine USA, the new dedicated division, is the result of a partnership with the well-known Bradford Marine.
Established in Turkey about a decade ago, Numarine builds fiberglass motoryachts between 60 and 130 feet (about 18.3 and 40 meters). The styles range from flying-bridge models to hardtops and explorers. (Pictured above is the 78 Flybridge.) Through 2015, most of its customers came from Turkey, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
While Numarine USA is headquartered in Florida, it plans to open new-sales and after-sales sites elsewhere along the Atlantic. It further plans to establish facilities along the Gulf Coast and Pacific Coast. The Fort Lauderdale facility is on the grounds of Bradford Marine. Bradford has covered dockage plus offers services like hauling, systems overhauls, structural repair, and painting.
Jack Nitabach, Numarine USA’s chief, has visited Numarine’s facilities. He considers Numarine “one of the most efficient shipyards I have seen to date.” The facilities encompass 376,737 square feet (35,000 square meters) of climate-controlled space. Numarine builds all the molds for its yachts and megayachts. In addition, it has its own wood shop, upholstery division, and metal workshops.
Numarine USA will exhibit at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. While no new megayacht models will be there, the smallest offering, a 60, will make its American debut.
