Sporty lines highlighted by silver topsides and a blue hull only hint at the personality embodied by Sarastar, which launched earlier this week at Mondomarine.
Measuring 197 feet (60 meters), Sarastar is thus far Mondomarine’s biggest megayacht. The all-aluminum project bears styling and interior design by Luca Dini Design. The studio collaborated with Italian artisans for a number of specialized details. Though photos are not yet available, the interior is quite dramatic. Rich blues in stone and fabric, along with even more dramatic use of various stones underfoot and on walls and overhead, set a striking scene. Ten different stones, in fact, feature prominently. So, too, do the individual color schemes of the staterooms. Sarastar has four doubles and one twin for guests plus the main-deck master suite.
Another highlight of Sarastar is a full-beam skylounge. Maximum beam is 35’4” (10.8 meters). To put her full proportions into better perspective, volume is 900 gross tons.
Alfresco spaces are, of course, equally important to the owner. The beach club has fold-down platforms on three sides. The foredeck, meanwhile, can host a party or a helicopter.
Sea trials should confirm a top speed just shy of 20 knots. Sarastar should also cruise at 18 knots. The most efficient cruise should be 12 knots, resulting in a 4,100-nautical-mile range. Sarastar should further cruise on over to the Monaco Yacht Show later this month, for sale via Burgess.
