Yacht owners and their crews aren’t only scrutinizing the systems aboard for their environmental impact. They’re also evaluating products used aboard, including sunscreen. Unfortunately, a host of retail items proclaim being environmentally friendly, but aren’t. In contrast, Aethic sunscreen has science backing up its claims.
In fact, the environmental non-profit Water Revolution Foundation recently vetted an Aesthetic sunscreen with SPF 50 because the company wished to exhibit in the Hub of Verified Solutions at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show. It’s both the first sunscreen and first consumer product of any kind to pass the rigorous evaluation.
Learn more about how Aethic further avoids being harmful to humans in the May edition of the Megayacht News newsletter.
Sent on a subscriber-only basis each month, the newsletter includes stories you won’t find in our daily website coverage. It also includes exclusive first details about upcoming features and opportunities – such as receiving the second-annual accessibility in yachting survey. Last year, Megayacht News created the first-ever survey to assess whether yacht buyers believe boat shows are too challenging for people with disabilities. The survey, which was sent to more than 2,100 people, revealed than regrettably, 42 percent of brokers, yacht builders, and designers agree.
We also share details on a special graduation day for a Derecktor Shipyards apprentice, an important dredging update for a U.S. marina, and two contracts for Bering Yachts’ largest superyacht model.
As always, the monthly newsletter further allows you to opt into our popular weekly news digest email. That way you never miss a story.
