A 115-footer (35-meter) may not strike you as a transatlantic cruiser. But the GTT 115 from Dynamiq, launched this month, pledges to do that, with hybrid power, pod drives, and other compelling technology. Simultaneously, she intends to turn a buyer’s head (she’s a spec project) thanks to styling from Studio F. A. Porsche, of automotive fame.
With naval architecture from Vripack, the GTT 115 has a round-bilge hull, Humphree stabilization, Fortjes pod drives, and twin MAN diesel engines. Furthermore, the hybrid system employs three variable-speed gensets. Sergei Dobroserdov, Dynamiq’s CEO, says hybrid power was vital, due to “our strong belief in the sustainable future of yachting.” Dynamiq says that best range should exceed 3,400 nautical miles, and top end should exceed 21 knots. Yet another performance feature is a Hull Vane, an underwater apparatus much like a spoiler. Created by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, it benefits seakeeping and fuel burn.
Studio F. A. Porsche strove to imbue “the spirit of high-performance sportscar styling,” according to CEO Roland Heiler. He, and Dynamiq, believe the megayacht will most appeal to cruisers who love their cars as much as their boats. Furthermore, they believe the GTT 115 will attract owners seeking smart solutions to propulsion and fuel consumption.
Regardless of who the ultimate buyer is, the Dynamiq GTT 115 offers big-yacht amenities. Overheads exceed seven feet (2.15 meters) on the main and lower decks, for example. In addition, the yacht has a 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio, with six guests and six crewmembers. Even with these, the metallic-painted megayacht retains a shallow draft for convenient cruising: 4’8” (1.45 meters).
While Dynamiq continues to put the finishing touches on the interior, you can get a sense of it from a rendering in this story.
You can get aboard the GTT 115 at next week’s Monaco Yacht Show, too. She’s for sale for €13.95 million.
Related to this, Dynamiq intends to build additional GTT 115s. However, it only plans to offer seven total launches.
