The Monaco Yacht Show’s footprint at Port Hercule has grown significantly, particularly over the past decade. It’s true of the in-water displays as much as it is of the on-land displays. With a long-term construction project affecting one part of the port now complete, the show organizers have seized an opportunity. They’re reorganizing on-land and in-water displays to make visitors’ experiences even easier. Simultaneously, the Monaco Yacht Show new layout will make it easier for certain exhibitors to cater to their clientele.
If you’ve attended the show in recent years, you may remember that the principality was adding a parking garage along one portion of the marina. You may also remember that yacht builders and designers were spread out throughout various tents. With this year’s show, from September 26 to 29, the Monaco Yacht Show, the somewhat scattered displays end. That is, in terms of the exhibitors which have megayachts on display. Instead, the event organizers are placing builders, designers, and brokerage houses directly opposite their in-water yachts offered for sale or charter.
Overall, in fact, the Monaco Yacht Show new layout will prioritize at-water stands for as many companies as possible in these same categories. Therefore, with an expected 120 megayachts in the water, it will be much more logical to find the key representatives you’re seeking. Similarly, these representatives will no longer be a few minutes’ walk (or longer, in some cases) from the yachts where they end up spending most of their time.
Other displays benefit from the Monaco Yacht Show new layout, too. For instance, the Darse Sud tent and exhibits along Quai Albert 1er will bring together supplier-oriented exhibits. Some other supply-oriented exhibitors will span Quai Jarlan, particularly if they’re related to tenders. This is due to Quai Jarlan being dedicated as the Tenders & Toys zone, a change initiated with the 2017 show.
Not everything will change, though. You can still find non-yachting luxury exhibitors in Parvis Piscine, for example. Furthermore, two popular areas return to Quai Antoin 1er. They are the Car Deck, a showcase of luxury and exotic automobiles, as well as the Starboard lounge.
Also back, the Monaco Yacht Show will have water taxis and golf carts to get you from one end of the event to the other. Equally noteworthy, the Monaco Bus Company is offering free transportation to all participants during the show.
We’ll have a story on some of the megayachts making their global premieres at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. According to the organizers, about 40 yachts fall into that category.
