The bigger the boat these days, the tighter the lips remain sealed. This is certainly the case with a project involving Winch Design and Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design. The simple sketch seen here, merely hinting at her exterior lines, is the only view available for now. Also for now, there’s not even a project name for the 253’6” (77-meter) megayacht, being built by Nobiskrug. For the sake of some reference point, though, we’ll call the megayacht the 77-meter Nobiskrug.
Thankfully, a few significant details are available. As mentioned, Winch Design is one of the parties involved. The British studio is handling styling. The sketch draws the most attention to her bow, which appears to be plumb but is actually a reverse bow. More notably, though, the overall design appears quite sleek. Interesting enough, the 77-meter Nobiskrug has interior accommodations rising five decks high.
Here’s where Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design is collaborating with the owner. And, unfortunately, here’s where we can only share one detail. The megayacht has a “grand” beach club, according to the shipyard, which additionally includes a spa. However, based on the classification standard that the 77-meter Nobiskrug will meet, we do know maximum passenger capacity is 12. She’ll comply with the newly updated Large Yacht Code regulations (a.k.a. LY3). Those are for megayachts in commercial use with no more than 12 passengers.
Though it’s not an onboard feature, there is an aspect to this megayacht additionally worth noting. The 77-meter Nobiskrug is the second 70-meter-plus (230-foot-plus) project the shipyard has had under contract through Imperial Yachts. Imperial is serving as the owner’s representative and construction supervisor. As for the first one, it was the code-named Project 783, finished in 2012. She sold to a new owner last fall.
Julia Stewart, Imperial’s director, says her team is “impatient” to see this “exciting project” start construction. No wonder: Delivery should occur in the springtime of 2021.
In the meantime, Nobiskrug has other yachts underway. One is Project 790, measuring 262 feet (80 meters). She sees delivery next year.
