Coming in at 262 feet (80 meters), a confidential superyacht contract saw her signing today. Going by her hull number, Nobiskrug 798, she reunites a design and project-management team where the parties are more than familiar with each other.
Those two parties specifically are Winch Design and Cecil Wright. Previously, they collaborated on projects such as Slipstream and Madame Gu, the latter of which was the largest Feadship at time of launch nearly a decade ago.
For Nobiskrug 798, Winch Design is handling both the styling as well as the interior design. So far, the owner is only allowing a few brief details to become public. For instance, in keeping with current tastes, ceiling heights will be quite high especially in the owner’s private areas. This should lend an even more voluminous feel to an already-voluminous megayacht. Additionally, the owner has requested a healthy-size beach club. Winch Design does hint, however, that “innovative design” will be a hallmark of the space. Furthermore, Jim Dixon, the studio’s managing partner and creative director, says that the owner has “very high expectations of relaxed waterside living and lifestyle features.”
All naval architecture and engineering, meanwhile, is coming from the shipyard’s own departments. Notably, Chris Cecil-Wright, founder of the eponymous studio, says “We see this build as the beginning of a long-term relationship with Nobiskrug.”
