Holiday makers and residents alike in Spain may catch a glimpse of Balance before summer’s end. The newest Sanlorenzo SL78 should be in her Spanish owner’s hands shortly.
In fact, Balance will call Mallorca home. Coincidentally, that’s the same home port for yet another SL78 an owner takes delivery of this season. Respectively, they are the 14th and 15th deliveries in the series.
Despite her model name, Balance actually measures 80’7” (24.6 meters). The owner liked the SL78 for a few reasons. For instance, the styling and performance pair well with traditional Mediterranean cruising preferences. Balance has a pair of 1,622-hp MTUs that promise a top speed of 29 knots. That’s suited to enjoying a few Balearic ports in a short time. A bigger draw, though, was the ability to customize the interior. Previously, this owner has purchased several production yachts. Therefore, he took advantage of having a say in how rooms would be arranged and what decor materials would be used.
Unfortunately, details aren’t available on the ambiance aboard Balance, in terms of woods, stones, or other materials. Regardless, this Sanlorenzo has four staterooms for a party of eight. All of the cabins are below decks, too, including the master suite. Guests get a double, a twin, and a VIP stateroom. Two crewmembers get cabins as well. Back on the main deck, lounging and breaking bread with family and friends are the orders of the day, in the saloon and dining area.
Because the Sanlorenzo SL78 is a flying-bridge model, guests aboard Balance further have some nice open-air space to enjoy. Relaxation is the sole focus of the flying bridge, in fact, due to a tender garage. Sanlorenzo created a hydraulic launching system to make the crew’s job of deploying the tender easier. The garage holds a boat of a maximum 12’10” (3.95 meters).
Next up for Sanlorenzo are the global premieres for two models. Both the Sanlorenzo SL102, a.k.a. the asymmetrical yacht, and the Sanlorenzo SX76 take their bows at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
