With sporty styling by Marco Casali – Too Design, the code-named megayacht project Lady is the latest contract from Columbus Yachts. Just a hint of the look is available so far, along with other hints about what lies ahead.
For instance, the shipyard promises that Lady will incorporate several eco-friendly solutions. In fact, it pledges that she will be, in its words, a trendsetter. However, no specifics are coming from the shipyard at this point. Interestingly, though, Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of Palumbo Superyachts, which is Columbus Yachts’ parent company, says that the owner is “highly sensitive to the environment.”
Additionally, the 164-footer (50-meter) will strive for eco-friendliness inside. Marco Casali is handling interior design, too, saying it’s “rigorously based on natural and ecological materials.” He adds, “‘Lady’ is a unique challenge in terms of sustainability and equipment.”
As you may surmise, the 499-gross-ton Lady is an entirely custom undertaking. With engineering by the builder’s in-house team, the all-aluminum yacht is set for delivery in 2022. The owner plans private cruising, including long-range travels worldwide.
