Privately owned for decades, the Rybovich marinas and service yards in Florida are now part of Safe Harbor Marinas. The company owns and operates the largest number of marinas worldwide.
With facilities in West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, Rybovich has obstruction-free deep-water access from the Atlantic Ocean. It’s capable of accommodating megayachts to 328 feet (100 meters) LOA specifically in 85 slips in West Palm Beach. An additional 10 yachts to 194 feet (59 meters) can occupy dry-space spots there, too. Meanwhile, in Riviera Beach, four megayachts to 249 feet (76 meters) get berths. Nineteen further yachts to 164 feet (50 meters) can be on land. Moreover, the site has a floating dry dock for projects to 295 feet (90 meters). Dedicated facilities for captains and crew, including a lounge, a gym, and a pool, along with weekly events for them in West Palm Beach make Rybovich further attractive.
“We’re extremely excited about what this means for our people, our customers, and our partners,” says Wayne Huizenga, Jr., Rybovich’s owner and CEO. He adds that joining Safe Harbor Marinas should allow it to expand to more locations. Safe Harbor Marinas’ CEO, Baxter Underwood, echoes the sentiment. “Our plan is to serve Rybovich with excellence so they, in turn, can do what they do so well at more locations throughout the country and perhaps the world.”
Carlos Vidueira, Rybovich’s president, adds that having more resources benefits the craftspeople, who are remaining on staff, as well as yacht owners, captains, and crew. “We’ve been searching for the right way to serve them all from a larger platform, and we’ve found it,” he explains. Furthermore, Vidueira is taking on a new role, overseeing Safe Harbor Marinas’ superyacht holdings. “We will have access to more resources
Safe Harbor Marinas has spent the past year acquiring marinas and shipyards, additionally investing further in its holdings. Just last month, for instance, it announced that Newport Shipyard had become a U.S. foreign trade zone.
