Wally WHY200 and the Quest for Space: Sunday Superyacht Video

By Marie Cullen on 01.17.21

the Wally WHY200 solves a space need for megayacht buyers

The reasons why yacht owners enjoy their boats so much is pretty simple. “Space and time are two of the most important factors on everyone’s wish list,” says Stefano De Vivo, the managing director of Wally. More space to enjoy more time led the shipyard to create the Wally WHY200, which is in build right now. This video not only shows you those spaces, but also specifically explains how much bigger they area.

Wally was able to take advantage of more usable space by making the model a wide-body design. Therefore, the interior areas along the entire main deck, including the master suite, use the full beam, without side decks. In fact, the shipyard says the main deck provides 60 percent more physical area to enjoy.

Additionally, in reimagining typical design, the Wally WHY200 has a volume of 200 gross tons. The shipyard says this, too, is higher than normal for an 89-foot (27-meter) megayacht. Add in huge panes of glass, especially the angular ones on the upper deck, and the yacht should feel voluminous.

From seeing her cruising to showing off the double toy garages and taking you onboard via the elongated aft deck, this virtual tour intends to make the space advantages crystal clear.
