The brand-new Vicem 82, currently the Vicem flagship, has company. Yet another new flagship is under contract, the Vicem 93 Cruiser.
Previously, Vicem built a few megayachts. In more recent years, it has had success with several models in the sub-superyacht size range. Strong interest in large yachts, however, along with delivery of hull number one of the Vicem 82 series has the Turkey-based builder reconsidering big boats.
It helps having clients who know the history of the previous big builds, too. According to Brendant Hunt, CEO of Vicem’s Australian dealer Vicsail, an Australian couple contacted his office. “The owners had already seen the Vicem Cruiser 107 and were completely in love with it,” he says. Therefore, Hunt, Leigh Smith Yachts, and Vicem’s design department collaborated on incorporating their wishes. “We wanted to ensure that every part of the boat was efficiently designed and easy to use,” he adds.
The 93-foot (28.3-meter) Vicem 93 therefore has accommodations for 12 in four staterooms. Both the main and lower decks are fully flush, too, for easier access. (Notably, this departs with the layout of the Vicem 82. Onboard her, the galley is down a few steps from the saloon but not yet on the lower deck.) That notion applies to the flying bridge as well, with stairs both internally from the saloon and outside from the aft deck.
Besides having an open-plan main deck, the Vicem 93 has ample space on her flying bridge. Sitting and enjoying the view, sunning, and soaking in a hot tub are all on the owners’ agenda. Finally, the Downeast-style superyacht can carry a 16-foot (5-meter) tender. It can stow on her flying bridge or on the swim platform, too.
Since construction is already underway, the owners will take delivery next spring.
